I observe life surrounding me. Faces are often the subject of my paintings, through which I interpret the world. I try to incorporate individuals’ inner world and a small moment of their everyday life into my creations. Different feelings and stories come to life on the canvas, through brush strokes and colors. I watch the colors and subjects play on top of my paintings.
Nature and animals also tend to find their way on to my canvas. Many states of life reflect on the human mind, which then appears as a different facial expression. My paintings awaken emotions. I give the observer space for their own interpretations.
In addition to my paintings, I write poems that support my pictorial expression. My stories continue their journey from form to text and form a symbiosis around them.
I often paint with oil colors, and different techniques offer creative possibilities. Art moves me to new adventures.
